CD Review: Awake and Vertical Infinity

Awake- L'arc~en~Ciel

As a follow up to SMILE I wasn't sure what Awake might have in store for fans. First of all, Hyde's English really took me by surprise. Just by the way he speaks with such ease now. The overall feeling was very different from that of his solo album Faith.

I've also always found it strange that while I consider Dir en grey as my favorite band, my favorite song tend to always be by L'arc. Stay Away, Coming Closer, A Silent Letter, and now Lost Heaven are all high on my list of favorites.

Ummm... I'm a huge T.M.Revolution fan, but this CD is not one of my favorites ^^;;; I do need to listen to it more that than just the one time. None of the songs really reached out and grabbed my attention until the English version of Web Of Night.
