Karini: MUCC report (12.10.08)

I went down to Southern California to see Mucc on Wednesday at the House of Blues in Hollywood

I got there late, at like 7:30 but still managed to get pretty darn close :)
it was amazing how Yukke and Miya would run and jump around along with Tatsuro

I was so happy to hear Ageha

only the first 100 got to meet them after the show to get autographs and luckily even though I got there late there were still plenty of tickets left so after the show I got a poster signed by all of them

Netta: Dir en Grey (11.30.08)

On Thursday i went back to where i used to live before i was dragged to Modesto to visit my boyfriend for our anniversary. And like a dumb ass i scheduled my flight for 4:40 p.m. into Oakland when the venue was 33 mins away from the airport. My flight was delayed for 4 hours so i arrived at the concert late. My sister knows all the songs they played before and can talk about those.

This is my fith time seeing dir en grey live (each time was in the US.) This was my first concert with my new seven inch tall platforms from my boyfriend $24 they work perfectly i'm a head taller than everyone esle and they are easy as hell to walk in. But back to the concert-->

What i was most surpised about was what songs they played, I didn't check into it before i went. But they played great songs, I listend to the new cd over and over to get to know the old songs. But they ended up playing all the songs that come on when my sid#2 (my ipod) is on shuffle while i was on the plane. It was a good concert, a stinky one but it was in San Francisco. Oh and my sister has photos so you can check out her blog when i force her to do one.
Oh the band shirts this tour rock.

Karini: Uroboros

We just got our copy of Uroboros in the mail, this has made me realize how close we are once again to seeing dir en grey.
I don't like reviewing cds but i'll probably end up adding to this post later.

Karini: Only a Little While Longer

And the countdown begins until Dir en Grey's show at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco on the 30th

Honestly I've only listened to Glass Skin a few times, its nice, especially around 1:43
it reminds me of Ryoujoku no Ame (my favorite single off of The Marrow of a Bone) with a tiny bit of the Dozing Green tossed in

Since the B-side of Glass Skin was Undecided, I'm hoping they might preform that song during their upcoming shows, it was probably my favorite song off of Kisou
I'm interested in what UROBOROS will be all about, I pre-ordered the album so I'm really curious to what kind of songs Dir en Grey will throw our way this time

Karini: Meeting SUGIZO

Since first listening to Luna Sea's music it has always been a band I knew instantly from first glance, I would love. They just have that kind of charm to their music and sound that is instantly recognizable and lovable.

When I heard that SUGIZO was touring with Juno Reactor this September, I was excited! The only show near me in San Fransisco was at a 21 and over venue,
it was disappointing at first but I had seen him at JRockRevolution so the disappointment didn't last long

There was also a meet and greet session at the Kinokuniya Bookstore in Japan Town. SUGIZO took some time at the beginning to answered questions from the crowd, which was smaller then I expected. He answered in English, he expressed his concerns about the session being about Juno Reactor as a whole, and not solely him. It was obvious for the crowd the real reason they were there was to see their guitar idol.

When the time came to get our posters signed it was nerve-racking for me. The woman ahead of me in line had SUGIZO sign her booklet from LUNA SEA's Mother album. He turned to his Juno Reactor band-mate, showing him the booklet and explaining that it was from his band in Japan, he seemed really surprised to see it mentioning how old it was

SUGIZO asked me my name and how to spell it, not really thinking I kept spelling it too fast. He asked if I was going to the show that night. I felt bad that I had to say I wasn't able to go because I was too young

It was such an exciting day, and to meet one of my idols in such a small intimate setting was really wonderful!

Netta: Juno Reactor Meet and Greet

Yesterday Karini and I went into San Fransisco for the meet and greet with Juno Reactor. Sugizo (Luna Sea) is touring with them :3
we took these right after. I got two signed post cards and a larger poster like what they had at taste of chaos for the bands to sign. It was so nice to talk to him. I was sick so I couldn't really hear that well, so i didn't talk too long. But Sugizo said that i had a nice name lol. He spoke really good English.
Purikuras! we took these after going into kinokuniya after the signing.

you couldn't even tell that we're twins.
When i got home i did an awful oekaki of Sugizo >_>

Karini: Versailles Report-really really old

This is an old report I had posted on my Livejournal Account
As a commemorative effort I thought I might add to it and post it here :)

"Versailles Last Night! Versailles was awesome! I got to the Knitting Factory about 5:30 and right away the line started to move inside, my sister and I weren't out side long before we got to go inside and sit down. We talk for most of the waiting time, which was nice! *3* lol All day long I had said that I didn't really care about being close to the stage cause honestly I'm just a casual Versailles fan but I ended up in about the 4/5 row on the side of Hizaki it was really fun!"

Setlist brought to you by JRockRevolution's review of the Hollywood concert

Looking back I vividly remember feeling the all the excitement that was in the room as Versailles performed, they are one of those bands that even though you don’t have every single song memorized you can still enjoy the show to the fullest

Two years before this particular show I was able to catch Kamijo’s solo performance at the anime convention FANIME in 2006. The way he was able to interact with his band members on stage defiantly added to the enthusiasm of the show. It was defiantly added that element that seemed to be missing from his solo concert

After the concert I had received a text from my mom, who had been in the area of the show around the time of the concert. Inside of the text was a picture of the members of Versailles who were outside the venue taking pictures while the crowd inside was listening to the opening band eagerly awaiting their arrival.

Miyavi 05-14-08

Miyavi's concert was today at the HOB in Anaheim. I haven't been there in ages, i went to see Hyde there when he played. That was amazing.
It was fun today i meant may new friends which i don't usually do. We got there at like ten in the morning witch we also don't really do.
Photobucket
But the concert was good it was sad because it wasn't that big of a shock to see him so close as i thought it would be. But I'm glad that i went we were forth/sixth row right in front of him. The end was really fun like when he played the new singles, i love those songs.
